Role Summary

Regional Hematology Manager for the New York Region, joining the Launch Team to engage Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) Centers and related health care professionals across the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the business within a specific geographical territory area
  • Educate customers on disease state awareness and the signs/symptoms of thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) as it relates to HSCT patients
  • Contribute to pre-launch strategies to ensure a successful FDA-review product launch for HSCT-TMA
  • Educate customers on a monoclonal antibody for HSCT-TMA across targeted hospitals and departments (HSCT physicians, hematologists, nephrologists, nurses, pharmacists)
  • Support reimbursement and access efforts; call on Pharmacy directors, social workers, and others to ensure access and distribution
  • Execute on the national sales and marketing strategy and create a territory business plan to maximize opportunity
  • Collaborate with home office, Brand team, and National/Corporate accounts teams for pull-through of product sales
  • Analyze account and physician sales data; develop territory tactical plans and provide solutions to grow the business
  • Utilize Microsoft applications and Veeva CRM to track call activity and sales progress
  • Maintain Company and Industry Compliance Rules

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; life sciences or healthcare concentration preferred; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 5 years in rare/orphan disease territory management; HSCT/hematology experience a plus
  • Experience in operations, sales training, or marketing with increasing responsibility preferred
  • Launch experience with demonstrated success required
  • Specialty experience in oncology/hematology preferred
  • Experience with major HSCT Centers and key opinion leaders

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of the medical industry (Pharmaceutical, Hospital, Specialty Pharmacy, Biologics/Biotech)
  • Familiarity with adding products to Hospital Formularies
  • Knowledge of HSCT-related products (chemotherapy, radiation, supportive care) preferred
  • Consistent, above-average performance in prior sales roles
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Veeva CRM
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with management, peers, and subordinates; high integrity

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required; life sciences/healthcare preferred; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Remote work from assigned region; ability to drive or fly to meetings
  • Overnight and weekend travel required; travel level varies by territory
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; reside in assigned territory
