Role Summary
Regional Hematology Manager for the New York Region to join the Launch Team of dynamic sales professionals. Responsible for calling on Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) Centers and their affiliated health care professionals within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the business within a specific geographical territory area
- Educate customers on the signs and symptoms of thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA) as it relates to HSCT patients
- Help create pre-launch strategies to ensure a successful launch of a product under FDA review for HSCT-TMA
- Educate customers on a monoclonal antibody used to treat HSCT-TMA in targeted hospitals across the territory (HSCT physicians, hematologists, nephrologists, nurses, pharmacists)
- Address reimbursement and access considerations, engaging Pharmacy directors, social workers, and related roles to ensure access and distribution
- Execute on the National sales and marketing strategy and create a territory business plan
- Collaborate with home office, Brand team, and National/Corporate account teams for pull-through of product sales
- Analyze account and physician sales data to create territory plans and drive business growth
- Utilize Microsoft applications and Veeva CRM to track call activity and sales progress
- Maintain Company and Industry Compliance Rules
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; life sciences or healthcare concentration preferred; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 10 years of pharmaceutical sales experience; minimum 5 years in rare/orphan disease territory management; HSCT experience a plus
- Experience in operations, sales training, or marketing with increasing responsibility preferred
- Launch experience required with a successful track record
- Specialty experience required; oncology and hematology preferred
- Experience with major Blood and Marrow Transplant Centers and key opinion leaders
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of the medical industry (Pharmaceutical, Hospital, Specialty Pharmacy, Biologics/Biotech)
- Familiarity with adding products to Hospital Formularies
- Knowledge of HSCT-related products (chemotherapy, radiation, supportive care) preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Veeva CRM
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with management, peers, and subordinates

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in life sciences or healthcare preferred
Additional Requirements
- Remote work from assigned region
- Ability to drive or fly to meetings; overnight and weekend travel required
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; reside in assigned territory
