Role Summary
The Regional Field Leader, Associate Director will oversee an assigned region within the US Pain Business Unit, managing a team of 8-10 field-based reps, account managers and territory managers. The role focuses on driving hospital/health system volume and access, expanding activation and breadth of prescribers within hospital settings, and broadening reach in surrounding communities to accelerate on-label adoption.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing PTAMs and recruit for TBM roles; recruit, hire, and retain a high-performing team that drives results while upholding values
- Establish clear business plans, metrics, and goals for the region; motivate the team to deliver results
- Support business goals while prioritizing patients by leveraging data analytics and field insights; provide strategic guidance to PTAMs and TBMs
- Guide management of account management and business territory plans; support formulary, pathway, and protocol placement within institutions; drive awareness and pull-through of JOURNAVX
- Understand interdependencies within institutional accounts and build long-term relationships
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the US Pain Marketing Team, to shape performance-driven approaches
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture; coach PTAMs to develop goals that positively impact patient outcomes
- Partner with field team members and headquarters to analyze customer needs, market dynamics, and trends supporting brand objectives
- Ensure forecast achievement by optimizing team performance through coaching, development, and maintaining a winning culture
- Model ethics and integrity to support a culture of compliance and earn trust with external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years in healthcare/biopharmaceuticals marketing or equivalent
- 3+ years of supervisory/management experience
- Hospital customer engagement experience, including leading institutional sales teams
- Experience in strategic account management: leading teams to engage formulary management and secure product access
- Experience in leading pull-through of inpatient formularies, protocols, pathways, and order sets
- Experience in launching new products (preferred)
- Strong teamwork and collaboration mindset
- Creative problem-solving abilities and effective escalation when barriers arise
- Understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance environments; ability to model behavior and influence policy

- Must live/work within the territory; proximity to a major airport may be required
- Valid driverβs license in good standing
- Travel up to 80% of the time; after-hours work as needed
