Role Summary
The Regional Field Leader, Associate Director will oversee an assigned region within the US Pain Business Unit, managing a team of 8-10 field-based reps, account managers, and territory managers. Focus areas include driving hospital/health system volume and access, expanding activation and breadth of prescribers in hospital settings, and broadening reach within surrounding communities to accelerate on-label adoption. The role requires residence within the region and willingness to travel routinely.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing PTAMs and recruit for TBM roles; recruit, hire, and retain a high-performing team aligned with company values
- Establish clear business plans, metrics, and goals for the region and motivate the team to deliver results
- Leverage data analytics and field insights to support business goals while prioritizing patient impact
- Guide management of account and territory plans, support formulary, pathway, and protocol placement in institutions, and drive awareness and pull-through of JOURNAVX
- Understand interdependencies within institutional accounts and build long-term relationships
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the US Pain Marketing Team, to shape performance-driven approaches
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture; coach PTAMs to develop patient-outcome-focused goals
- Partner with field teams and headquarters to analyze market dynamics and trends supporting brand objectives
- Ensure forecast achievement by optimizing team performance through coaching and development
- Model ethics and integrity to support a culture of compliance and trust with external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years in healthcare/biopharmaceuticals marketing or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of supervisory/management experience
- Hospital customer engagement experience, including leading institutional sales teams
- Experience in strategic account management, engaging formulary management and decision-makers
- Experience in leading rollout of inpatient formularies, protocols, pathways, and order sets
- Experience in launching new products (preferred)
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Creative, proactive problem-solving and escalation abilities
- Understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements; ability to model compliant behavior
Other Requirements
- Completion of trainings, background checks, drug testing, and vaccinations as required
- Residence within the territory; proximity to a major airport may be required
- Valid driverβs license
- Travel up to 80% of the time; may require after-hours work
