Role Summary
The Regional Field Leader, Associate Director oversees a regional US Pain Business Unit, managing a team of 8-10 field-based reps, account managers, and territory managers. The role focuses on driving hospital/health system volume and access, expanding prescriber activation within hospitals, and broadening reach in surrounding communities to accelerate on-label adoption.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing PTAMs and recruit for newly created TBM roles; recruit, hire, and retain a high-performing team aligned with company values
- Establish clear business plans, metrics, and goals for the region and motivate the team to deliver results
- Support business goals while focusing on patients by using data analytics and field insights to provide strategic guidance to PTAMs and TBMs
- Guide management of account and territory plans, supporting formulary, pathway, and protocol placement within institutions and driving awareness and pull-through of JOURNAVX in surrounding communities
- Understand interdependencies within institutional accounts and build long-term account relationships
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional stakeholders, including US Pain Marketing, to shape performance approaches
- Foster a positive, collaborative team culture; coach PTAMs to set goals that positively impact patient outcomes
- Partner with field team members and headquarters to analyze customer needs, market dynamics, and trends supporting brand objectives
- Achieve forecast targets by coaching, supporting, developing, and driving a winning team culture
- Model ethics and integrity to support a culture of compliance and earn trust with external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree
- Required: 10+ years in healthcare/biopharmaceuticals marketing or equivalent
- Required: 3+ years of supervisory/management experience
- Required: Hospital customer engagement experience, including leading institutional sales teams
- Required: Experience in strategic account management, leading teams to engage formulary management and product access
- Required: Experience in leading pull-through of inpatient formularies, protocols, pathways, and order sets
- Preferred: Experience in launching new products
- Required: Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration; proactive problem-solving and escalation when needed
- Required: Understanding of legal/regulatory/compliance environment; ability to model expected behavior and shape policies

Education
Additional Requirements
- Must complete trainings, background screens, drug testing, and vaccinations as required
- Must live and work within the territory and be within reasonable distance to a major airport
- Valid driverβs license in good standing
- Travel up to 80% of the time; may require after-hours work as needed
