Role Summary
The Regional Field Leader, Associate Director oversees a region within the US Pain Business Unit, managing a team of 8-10 field-based reps, account managers, and territory managers. The role focuses on ensuring patient access and formulary pull-through within hospitals and surrounding communities, while leading a high-performing team and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. Ideal location is Nashville or Knoxville; travel is routinely required.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing PTAMs and recruit TBMs; hire and retain a high-performing team aligned with company values
- Establish clear business plans, metrics, and regional goals; motivate the team to achieve results
- Leverage data analytics and field insights to support goals while maintaining patient focus
- Guide management of account and territory plans; drive formulary, pathway, and protocol placement; promote JOURNAVX in communities
- Build informed, long-term account relationships within institutional accounts
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including US Pain Marketing, to drive performance
- Foster a positive team culture; coach PTAMs to set goals that improve patient outcomes
- Partner with field teams and HQ to address customer needs, market dynamics, and brand objectives
- Ensure forecast achievement by optimizing team performance and cultivating a winning culture
- Model ethics and compliance to earn trust with external stakeholders
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree
- Required: 10+ years in healthcare/biopharma marketing or equivalent
- Required: 3+ years of supervisory/management experience
- Required: Hospital customer engagement experience, including institutional sales leadership
- Preferred: Experience in strategic account management and navigating institutions to engage formulary management and access
- Preferred: Experience launching new products
- Required: Collaborative, team-oriented mindset; ability to develop creative solutions and escalate issues as needed
- Required: Understanding of legal/regulatory/compliance environment; ability to model compliant behavior
