      Role Summary
 Regional Director - Rare Disease & Cardiometabolic responsible for leading regional commercial operations, building and developing a high-performing field sales team, driving sales performance, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives in rare disease markets, including fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva and otoferlin-related hearing loss.
 
 Responsibilities
 
 - Build and develop a high performing, high integrity, high quality national sales team and provide overall leadership to the team.
 
 - Ensure strong, consistent performance that meets or exceeds national forecast based on demand volume and brand objectives while demonstrating accountability for all results.
 
 - Communicate current industry knowledge and competitor information to the nation.
 
 - Ensure each employee is trained to deliver effective customer education and be regarded as clinical experts by customers.
 
 - Participate in industry trade shows, meetings, conferences, etc.
 
 - Analyze sales and customer data to allocate resources across regions for each product.
 
 - Assist the National Account Director with budget management, allocation, and promotional resources usage.
 
 - Build credibility and relationships with key customers and staff in target markets.
 
 - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze market dynamics and support brand objectives.
 
 - Demonstrate a proven track record of high integrity and performance in complex markets.
 
 - Lead, mentor, and develop team members; hire, coach, promote, and retain top talent.
 
 - Drive regional objectives and goals; manage payer environment and reimbursement challenges.
 
 - Partner with internal field teams; travel extensively with regional influence.
 
 - Present effectively and manage multiple customer segments; analyze market data to drive sales execution.
 
 
 
 Qualifications
 
 - Minimum of bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PhD, MD) preferred.
 
 - Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience with 5 years in sales leadership/management; experience in musculoskeletal and/or genetic hearing loss rare disease markets preferred.
 
 - Experience in biologics and buy-and-bill products or related relevant experience.
 
 - Sales leadership experience for a rare disease product required.
 
 - Field-based position with extensive travel required.
