Regional Director (RD), Rare Neurology

Responsibilities:
- Recruit, lead, develop, and retain the Rare Neurology Medical Specialist team in the assigned region.
- Ensure sales performance exceeds forecast/expectations; meet/exceed brand objectives and product sales goals.
- Lead regional sales activities: hiring, training, performance evaluation, and development (ensure corporate-policy compliance).
- Ensure effective customer education implementation.
- Share industry/competitor insights; ensure participation in industry events (trade shows, meetings, conferences).
- Analyze sales and customer data to deploy resources; allocate/manage regional budget and promotional resources.
- Build credibility and relationships with key customers (clinical experts, advocacy groups, etc.) and ensure Medical Specialists are viewed as clinical experts.
- Develop and execute an incentive compensation plan for the field team.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to analyze market dynamics and trends.
- Demonstrate understanding of payer environment and reimbursement challenges.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or advanced certification preferred (science/clinical plus).
- 10+ years pharma/biopharma experience; 5+ years sales leadership/management; 3+ years as Regional Director/District Manager in Rare Neurology.
- Preferred: experience with complex therapies (REMS, biologics, specialty pharmacy) in Rare Disease/Neurology (e.g., Myasthenia Gravis, MS, Parkinson’s, Epilepsy).
- Proven success in complex markets with strong integrity.

Skills/Requirements:
- Track record hiring/coaching/developing/retaining talent.
- Ability to develop physician/customer clinical experts.
- Strong leadership/interpersonal skills and partnership with alliance partners/internal field teams.
- Travel extensively; candidates must reside within the assigned territory.
