Regional Director (RD), Rare Neurology

- Remote role; Mid South (North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina, Tennessee)

Responsibilities
- Recruit, lead, develop, and retain the Rare Neurology Medical Specialist team in the region.
- Ensure strong, consistent sales performance that exceeds forecast and expectations; meet/exceed sales objectives and align action plans to brand strategy.
- Lead regional sales activities (hiring, training, performance evaluation, development) with compliance to corporate policies.
- Ensure effective customer education implementation.
- Share current industry/competitor knowledge; ensure participation in trade shows/meetings/conferences.
- Analyze sales and customer data; deploy appropriate resources.
- Allocate and manage regional budget and promotional resource utilization.
- Build credibility and relationships with key customers and field clinical experts/advocacy groups.
- Ensure Medical Specialists are viewed as clinical experts.
- Develop and execute an incentive compensation plan for the field team in a compliant manner.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to analyze and address market dynamics and trends.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of payer environment, reimbursement, and challenges.

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree mandatory; Masterโ€™s degree/advanced certification a plus (science or clinical preferred).
- Minimum 10 years pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience; 5 years sales leadership/management; 3 years as RD/District Manager in Rare Neurology.
- Strong experience with complex therapies (REMS, biologics, specialty pharmacy) in rare disease/neurology (highly preferred).
- Proven, integrity-driven success in complex markets; track record hiring/coaching/developing/promoting/retaining talent.
- Proven ability to develop physician/customer clinical experts.
- Excellent leadership/interpersonal skills; effective team player.
- Ability to collaborate with internal field teams and alliance partners.
- Ability to travel extensively.
- Ability to manage and drive regional objectives/goals.
- Product launch experience a plus; experience selling to diverse customer segments.
- Understanding reimbursement challenges/opportunities (buy-and-bill or relevant rare neurology experience).
- Ability to analyze sales/market data; strategic thinker.
- Leadership skills for motivating/mentoring/professional development.
- Must reside within assigned territory.
