Regional Director-Neurology-Great Lakes

Responsibilities:
- Recruit, lead, develop, and retain the Rare Neurology Medical Specialist team in the region; provide overall leadership.
- Meet/exceed assigned sales objectives and ensure action plans align to brand strategic initiatives.
- Lead regional sales activities (hiring, training, performance evaluation, development) in compliance with corporate policies.
- Ensure employees are trained on and implement customer education.
- Communicate current industry and competitor knowledge to regional teams.
- Ensure participation in industry trade shows/meetings/conferences.
- Analyze sales and customer data; deploy appropriate regional resources.
- Allocate/manage regional budget and utilization of promotional resources.
- Build credibility and relationships with key customers (clinical experts, advocacy groups, etc.); ensure Medical Specialists are viewed as clinical experts.
- Develop and execute an Incentive Compensation plan for the field team in a compliant manner.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to analyze market dynamics/trends.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of payer environment, reimbursement, and payer challenges.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree mandatory (Master’s or advanced certification a plus; science/clinical focus preferred).
- 10+ years pharma/biopharma experience; 5 years sales leadership/management, including 3 years as Regional Director/District Manager in Rare Neurology.
- Highly preferred: experience with complex therapies (REMS, biologics, specialty pharmacy) in Rare Disease/Neurology (e.g., MG, MS, Parkinson’s, Epilepsy).
- Proven success leading in complex markets with integrity.
- Proven ability to hire/coaching/develop/promote/retain top talent.
- Proven ability to develop physician/customer clinical experts in a regional scope.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; strong collaborator with internal field/ally partners.
- Ability to travel extensively.
- Ability to manage/drives regional objectives and goals.
- Product launch experience a plus.
- Experience selling to diverse customer segments.
- Buy-and-bill product reimbursement understanding required (or other relevant Rare Neurology experience).
- Ability to analyze sales/market data; strategic thinker.
- Leadership skills (motivate/mentor/professional development).
- Must reside within the assigned territory.
