Role Summary

Regional Clinical Sales Specialist (RCSS) educates healthcare providers about recurrent pericarditis, executes strategic sales plans across multiple territories, and supports patient services programs in partnership with regional colleagues. This field-based role covers northeastern Illinois, southern Wisconsin, and northwestern Indiana.

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with RSD and CSSs, develop and execute a strategic plan to educate HCP customers and staff, aligned with commercial objectives, including prioritized engagements, account management, business analysis, and resource utilization.
  • Demonstrate agility by adjusting coverage and targeting based on region needs and direction from leadership.
  • Educate decision makers, cardiologists, and rheumatologists to initiate the approved product for recurrent pericarditis.
  • Provide comprehensive education on Kiniksa OneConnect Patient Services and support programs.
  • Facilitate opportunities through multiple venues (virtual and in-person) including one-on-one interactions, small group discussions, and external presentations.
  • Identify, plan, and execute local and regional congress meetings and hospital exhibit opportunities.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual sales goals and execute tactical resource plans.
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration with field sales and other teams.
  • Represent Kiniksa to HCP stakeholders as a reliable source of company and product information.
  • Act compliantly with integrity aligned to company values and guidelines; manage expenses within budget.
  • Document field activities accurately and timely.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of biopharmaceutical sales experience; rare disease, specialty therapy, or cardiology experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience promoting injectable or reconstitution injectable products preferred
  • Track record of sales success and strong motivation to achieve results
  • Demonstrated strategic account management experience
  • Experience with Specialty Pharmacy, HUB services, and Patient Support programs
  • Knowledge of compliant and ethical business practices
  • Strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive, passion, and focus to contribute to the company’s mission
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively and efficiently
  • Willingness to travel up to 85-90% of the time (overnight stays across four territories) and hold a valid driver’s license
