Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory plans for immunologists, allergists, emergency medicine physicians, and specialized HAE treatment centers.
- Prioritize high-value accounts (HAE patient volume, prescriber influence, institutional capabilities).
- Build trusted advisor relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical champions, and administrative decision-makers.
- Manage sales pipeline from initial awareness through patient treatment completion.
- Educate providers on in vivo CRISPR mechanisms; differentiate from ex vivo therapies and traditional treatments.
- Present Phase III efficacy and safety data; address CRISPR safety misconceptions and position against prior gene therapy launches.
- Differentiate the therapyβs mechanism of action vs prophylactic treatments, complement inhibitors, and plasma-derived therapies.
- Maintain competitive intelligence; develop value propositions; handle objections regarding permanent genetic modification and single-treatment cost.
- Educate providers on the patient pathway and coordinate with patient support hubs for seamless access.
- Partner with Medical Affairs/Medical Science Liaisons; align with Field Reimbursement Managers on coverage strategy.
- Coordinate with strategic accounts on referrals, site selection, and site activation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of HAE pathophysiology, treatment landscape, and unmet needs.
- Knowledge of gene editing technologies, genetic medicines, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to analyze/present complex clinical trial data and real-world evidence.
- Exceptional scientific communication; strong stakeholder relationship management.
- BS/BA in life sciences or business-related field.
- 5+ years specialty pharmaceutical sales experience (rare disease/immunology/genetic medicines preferred).
- Rare disease commercialization and launch experience preferred.
- Success in long, complex sales cycles (12β18 months).
