Sales Representative (Territory: California & Hawaii)
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory plans; prioritize high-value HAE accounts; build trusted advisor relationships with KOLs/clinical champions/administrators; manage a robust pipeline from initial awareness through patient treatment completion.
- Educate providers on in vivo CRISPR gene editing (vs. ex vivo/other therapies); differentiate MOA vs prophylactics, complement inhibitors, and plasma-derived therapies; present Phase III efficacy/safety data; address CRISPR safety misconceptions.
- Maintain competitive intelligence; develop value propositions vs existing HAE treatments and gene therapies; handle objections (permanent genetic modification, single-treatment cost).
- Educate the patient journey (diagnosis confirmation through administration) and coordinate with patient support hubs.
- Partner with Medical Affairs/Medical Science Liaisons; align with Field Reimbursement Managers on payer strategy/coverage; coordinate with strategic accounts on referral patterns, site selection, and site activation.
Qualifications / Required-Preferred Skills
- Comprehensive HAE knowledge; understanding of gene editing/genetic medicines and regulatory requirements; ability to analyze/present complex clinical trial and real-world evidence.
- Exceptional scientific communication; relationship management; creative problem-solving for access barriers; collaboration; growth/competitive mindset; business-owner execution.
- BS/BA (life sciences or business). Preferred: rare disease/gene therapy/HAE market knowledge. Required: 5+ years specialty pharma sales (rare disease/immunology/genetic medicines preferred); proven rare disease commercialization and first-in-class/novel mechanism launch experience; success in 12β18 month complex sales cycles.
