Sales Representative to lead the commercial launch of an in vivo CRISPR therapy for hereditary angioedema (HAE). Territory: Knoxville, VA, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory plans; target immunologists, allergists, emergency medicine physicians, and specialized HAE centers.
- Prioritize high-value accounts based on patient volume, prescriber influence, and institutional capabilities.
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with KOLs, clinical champions, and administrative decision-makers.
- Manage sales pipeline from initial awareness through patient treatment completion.
- Educate providers on in vivo CRISPR mechanisms; differentiate from ex vivo cell therapies and traditional/prophylactic approaches.
- Present Phase III efficacy/safety data; address CRISPR safety misconceptions.
- Educate on unmet needs and disease management/treatment burden.
- Maintain competitive intelligence and articulate differentiated value propositions.
- Handle objections related to CRISPR, permanent genetic modification, and single-treatment cost.
- Educate the patient journey (diagnosis confirmation to administration) and integrate hub services.
- Partner with Medical Affairs/Medical Science Liaisons; align with Field Reimbursement on payer strategy; collaborate on strategic accounts (referrals, site selection, activation).
Qualifications / Skills
- Knowledge of HAE pathophysiology, treatment landscape, and unmet needs.
- Understanding of gene editing technologies, genetic medicines, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to analyze/present complex clinical trial and real-world evidence.
- Exceptional scientific communication; strong stakeholder relationship management.
- Problem-solving, collaboration, growth mindset, competitive mindset, and execution/business-owner mindset.
- BS/BA in life sciences or business.
- Preferred: rare disease, gene therapy, and HAE market knowledge.
- Required/Preferred experience: 5+ years specialty pharmaceutical sales (prefer rare disease/immunology/genetic medicines); rare disease commercialization success; product launch experience (first-in-class/novel mechanism preferred); success in 12β18 month, multi-stakeholder complex sales.
