Role Summary
Regional Business Leader is responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals for a specific region. This includes hiring, coaching, developing and motivating a cross functional team to consistently deliver strong performance, typically comprising Clinical Specialists and Clinical Nurse Educators. The role requires deep understanding of the regional oncology market, development and execution of strategic account plans, and ensuring clear expectations and accountability for the team.
Responsibilities
- Consistently meet or exceed performance goals
- Hire, develop, lead and retain a high performing team of Clinical Specialists and Clinical Nurse Educators
- Lead the team in the development and execution of regional business plans to maximize regional opportunities
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to identify priorities and execute business plans
- Provide coaching to maximize individual effectiveness, drive accountability and ensure results
- Analyze information from multiple sources to identify drivers and guide resource utilization
- Develop relationships with key regional strategic accounts to identify and maximize opportunities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop marketing and market access resources, data reports, incentive plans, brand awareness and customer engagement
- Plan and conduct meetings to drive strategy, execution and professional development
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, innovation and results
- Champion and establish a culture of compliance
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience: 8–10 years in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry with at least 5 years of team leadership experience; oncology experience mandatory; experience leading Clinical Specialists and Clinical Nurse Educators; proven track record of results; driving results in a competitive market
- Preferred: Breast cancer knowledge and experience; MBA

- Travel: Significant travel within the assigned region to lead, coach, and develop field teams; periodic travel to corporate and national meetings
- Position type/hours: Full-time; typical hours Monday–Friday; may require extended hours and weekend work
