Job Description
The Regional Business Lead, IBD is responsible for planning and implementing district sales plans and coaching for success. This role includes building and leading the district sales team; providing support and coaching for sales team members; establishing and managing relationships with key customers, professionals and internal stakeholders; managing district sales business operations (policies/procedures, budgets, sales and account data, etc.). Direct responsibility for leading and managing Specialty Sales Representatives and Specialty Account Managers promoting Takedaโs biotech product to medical professionals.
Accountabilities
- Develop and implement market-based business strategies to achieve sales objectives; create business plans using data/account and market analysis.
- Evaluate business opportunities and recommend solutions to RSD and the district sales team.
- Recruit, train, develop, and coach Specialty Sales Representatives and Specialty Account Managers.
- Create and support integrated account/sales teams to achieve sales objectives.
- Implement sales and marketing programs to support U.S. growth in the assigned district.
- Ensure team accountability for sales and company objectives.
- Ensure compliant selling activities within State and Federal regulations.
- Provide strategic input to Marketing for marketing plan development/evolution.
- Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) across local/regional/national therapeutic areas.
- Liaison with internal business partners and other sales/marketing personnel.
- Work with Regional and National Account Managers on managed market issues; collaborate with managed markets partners to maximize sales and access.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA.
- 5+ years management experience in pharma/immunology/biologic/biotech or medical device industries (district/specialty account/marketing/product management experience acceptable).
- Strategic business planning and adaptability to market changes.
- Ability to coach, delegate, and motivate a sales team with timely feedback.
- Ability to analyze complex data to create actionable business plans.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Strong MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint skills.
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Masterโs degree.
- Experience with infusible or injectable products.
- Account-based sales experience (hospital/health system/infusion centers/large group practice).
- Immunology and Gastroenterology experience.
- Biological product launch experience.
Travel Requirements
- Drive/fly to meetings and client sites; local and national meetings/training.
- Overnight travel to support district.
- 50โ75% travel.
Compensation and Benefits
- U.S. base salary range (USA - TX - Virtual): $176,000.00 - $242,000.00.
