Position Summary:
The Regional Business Director (RBD), Immunology, is responsible for driving sales performance, strategic execution, and customer engagement across a defined geographic region. Manages and coaches a team of Account Managers to ensure exceptional performance in a competitive rare disease, specialty market. Collaborates cross-functionally to optimize field strategy, enhance customer experience, and support successful launches within the immunology portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, lead, develop, and inspire Account Managers to achieve/exceed regional sales goals.
- Establish a high-performance culture (accountability, integrity, strategic execution, professional development).
- Develop performance plans for AM skill growth, capability building, and succession planning.
- Conduct field rides and coaching sessions; reinforce customer-centric engagement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Translate national brand strategy into actionable regional business plans.
- Use market data/analytics to identify opportunities/challenges and adjust strategy.
- Oversee pull-through of brand initiatives, launch plans, and disease-area priorities.
- Partner with Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and internal stakeholders for aligned compliant execution.
- Establish relationships with key customers (HCPs, administrators, influential institutions).
- Support AMs with customer insights and territory plans; communicate customer needs to inform strategy.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, etc., for coordinated compliant engagement.
- Support congress activities, regional events, and speaker programs.
- Manage regional budget; report performance trends, recommendations, and competitive insights.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years commercial experience; 5–7 years leading field sales teams.
- Strong preference: rheumatology, immunology, rare disease, biologics, or specialty care.
- Proven sales success in competitive specialty markets.
- Strong payer dynamics and specialty pharmacy/access knowledge.
- Excellent strategic, analytical, communication, coaching, and interpersonal leadership.
- Ability to travel extensively across the region.
- Talent Developer, Strategic Operator, Cross-Functional Influencer, Customer-Focused Leader, and Integrity/Compliance.
- Preferred residence: Chicago or Detroit area.

Compensation/Benefits:
- Base salary pay range: $220,000 to $270,000. Includes annual performance bonus, equity, full range of benefits, and other incentive compensation plans.
