Regional Business Director (Great Lakes region)

Responsibilities/Objectives:
- Lead and manage a team of Regional Business Managers promoting Takeda’s Rare Disease (Gastroenterology) products to medical professionals.
- Drive Business Unit sales objectives through Quarterly Business Reviews, coaching, and territory/plan execution.
- Plan, direct, implement, and oversee sales activities for a geographical region; implement regional marketing strategy and manage resources to meet quarterly/yearly targets.
- Review sales plan performance quarterly; analyze territories to grow business and improve rep effectiveness.
- Build and manage relationships with key customers/professionals and internal stakeholders; manage regional sales operations (budgets, sales/account data, policies/procedures).
- Provide performance feedback, counsel/coach reps, and recruit/train/develop the regional team.
- Communicate personnel/product/market activity and coordinate selling with managed care and national accounts.

Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA).
- 3–5 years as a pharmaceutical representative with proven sales success; technical knowledge and selling techniques.
- Experience selling/managing reps in an institutional environment.
- Strategic/business planning skills; ability to coach/delegate/motivate.
- Ability to analyze complex data to develop actionable business plans.
- Strong verbal/written/presentation skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Reside within or near assigned geography.

Preferred:
- 2–3 years district management experience; product launch/turnaround.
- Rare Disease and/or GI experience.
- MBA or Master’s.

Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Some overnight travel; may work evenings/weekends; work from home office when not traveling.
