Position Summary
The Regional Business Director is a sales leadership role responsible for executing the Region’s growth strategy, including leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing 6–9 account managers and molecular oncology specialists. Hands-on leadership focused on developing the sales team and identifying customer needs.
Job Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed direct sales revenue targets.
- Develop regional sales strategy to achieve revenue objectives.
- Establish senior-level relationships within key accounts.
- Build, train, and manage a sales team to meet volume and revenue objectives.
- Provide marketplace feedback to support sales strategy.
- Share industry trends, best practices, and competitive insights.
- Build cross-functional relationships (product development, pipeline, compensation plans, sales reporting, forecasting).
- Communicate relevant regional revenue/relationships to the Area Vice President of Oncology Sales.
- Analyze opportunities and develop strategic sales plans for assigned territory.
- Develop and maintain client relationships (new and existing).
- Advise senior management on client/market concerns.
- Maintain core knowledge of competitive products/technology and reimbursement/billing.
- Manage assigned company assets and submit required paperwork (travel, reports, expenses, service reports).
- Support physicians with ordering/interpretation of the CMI platform and QC report quality/accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- 5+ years people leadership (preferred) with knowledge of oncology, pathology and/or diagnostic market.
- Strong understanding of physician relationships and oncology service/technology needs.
- Proven success with large global brand marketers/agencies.
- Strong decision-making under pressure; excellent written/verbal communication.
- Knowledge of healthcare business policies; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Internet.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license; reliable vehicle/insurance.
- Regular travel; 50% of time in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA.
