The Regional Biosimilar Accounts Director (RBAD) for the Mid-Central/Great Lakes Area (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan). Manages the business relationship between the company and assigned accounts.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate profitable contracts; improve formulary access aligned to brand strategy and pricing authority.
- Optimize net sales, contract performance, and pull-through across the biosimilars portfolio.
- Ensure oversight/compliance with company policies and responsible financial stewardship.
- Identify and advance business opportunities in assigned markets; build B2B relationships with targeted customers.
- Engage senior leadership and build trust through knowledge of customer organization, objectives, business/environment issues, and company priorities.
- Serve as primary point of contact for senior leadership in roles spanning pharmacy/supply chain/employee health and specialties (e.g., specialty pharmacy, oncology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, dermatology), infusion center operations, Veteransโ Affairs pharmacy executives, and C-suite/key decision makers.
- Develop strategic/tactical account plans.
Economic
- Present GPO brand pricing programs; negotiate direct contracts where appropriate.
- Communicate approved financial/healthcare economic/budget impact models.
Operational
- Coordinate product access with overlay Field-Based Employees (FBEs).
- Ensure customer contracts are loaded for eligible sites of care.
- Communicate approved information to customer IT.
- Lead account planning and pull-through; manage communications to extended team.
- Facilitate access/coordination with overlapping contacts with FBEs.
- Conduct business reviews to optimize net sales.
Clinical
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs; communicate clinical value using approved resources.
- Use approved company resources to meet customer educational needs.
Required Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelorโs degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, PharmD, ARNP, MSN).
- 3+ years recent Sales or Account Management (or relevant healthcare experience).
- Strategic account planning; customer/market research.
- Negotiation skills; demand creation; intellectual curiosity.
- Demonstrated leadership; cross-functional team success.
- Business/financial acumen; strong interpersonal and communication skills; executive presence.
- Ability to analyze multiple data sets for strategic decisions.
