The Regional Biosimilar Accounts Director (RBAD) for the Mid-Central/Great Lakes area (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan) manages business relationships with assigned accounts to:
- Negotiate profitable contracts and improve formulary access aligned to brand strategy and pricing authority.
- Optimize Net Sales, contract performance, and pull-through across the biosimilars portfolio.
- Ensure proper oversight and compliance with company policies and financial stewardship.
Responsibilities
- Identify and advance business opportunities in assigned markets; build strong B2B relationships with targeted customers.
- Engage senior leadership within accounts and build trust via knowledge of customer objectives/issues and company priorities.
- Serve as primary point of contact for senior leadership across pharmacy/supply chain/employee health and specialties; infusion center/operations; Veteransโ Affairs pharmacy executives; and C-suite/key decision makers.
- Develop strategic/tactical account plans including:
- Economic: present GPO brand pricing programs; negotiate direct contracts (where appropriate); communicate approved financial/healthcare economic/budget impact models.
- Operational: communicate product access with overlay Field-Based Employees (FBE); ensure contract pricing is properly loaded; communicate approved info to IT; lead account planning and pull-through; manage team communications; coordinate overlapping FBE access; support continuum-of-care product positioning.
- Clinical: coordinate with Medical Affairs; communicate clinical value proposition; use approved resources for customer education.
Required/Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, PharmD, ARNP, MSN).
- 3+ years recent Sales/Account Management or relevant healthcare experience.
- Strategic account planning; negotiation, demand creation, intellectual curiosity.
- Leadership in cross-functional teams; strong business/financial acumen.
- Strong interpersonal/communication skills with executive presence; data analysis for strategic decisions.
