Position Summary
- Regional Account Manager (RAM) responsible for disease-state education and account-readiness for Hepatitis Delta Virus (HDV) in a pre-launch setting.
- Work with Infectious Disease and community HBV providers to improve HDV awareness, screening, diagnosis, referral processes, and education.
- Assigned Area: Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, San Diego
Job Functions/Responsibilities
Disease-State Market Development
- Drive HDV awareness/understanding among Infectious Disease specialists, community HBV treaters, and Advanced Practice Providers.
- Educate on HBV–HDV relationship (including HBsAg’s role), and HDV screening/testing protocols.
- Identify barriers to diagnosis and improve patient identification and referral processes.
Strategic Account Management
- Develop/execute account plans for institutions, health systems, community practices, and referral networks.
- Identify key stakeholders across clinical/operational/administrative functions.
- Address geographic/institutional gaps; establish/strengthen referral pathways (community providers ↔ ID specialists ↔ hepatology/transplant).
- Use data/insights/customer feedback to refine account strategies.
Thought Leader & Network Engagement
- Build relationships with KOLs/HDV advocates; facilitate peer-to-peer education.
- Identify opportunities to advance HDV testing/diagnosis/patient management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Launch Readiness
- Collaborate compliantly with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Advocacy, and Commercial leadership.
- Share field insights; develop best practices for scalable HDV market activation.
- Assess account readiness; identify diagnostic/referral/infrastructure gaps.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years biotech/pharma field experience.
- Proven success in specialty/rare disease/infectious disease/hepatology/gastroenterology (HBV experience preferred).
- Experience managing complex healthcare systems and strategic accounts.
- Experience in pre-launch/market development/disease-state awareness.
- Strong clinical/scientific aptitude and ability to communicate complex disease concepts.
- Track record engaging KOLs/thought leaders.
- High integrity, ethical standards, compliance commitment.
- Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
- Travel up to 70% overnight; valid driver’s license.
