POSITION SUMMARY
- Regional Account Managers (RAM) will run their own business within Chicagoland (Northern Illinois), Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Build and execute go-to-market plans, establish short- and long-term tactics, set territorial priorities, and create compliant business plans.
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Increase HCP awareness and understanding of promoted Mirum products.
- Identify and build relationships with key thought leaders and customers to create HCP advocates.
- Take an entrepreneurial, accountable approach to maximize/exceed goals.
- Understand Rare Disease healthcare trends and mitigate account access challenges.
- Use organizational/analytical skills to analyze business data and develop strategic, actionable plans.
- Demonstrate and enhance a culture of compliance, integrity, and transparency.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships across commercial, compliance, and medical affairs.
- Drive change through influence and innovation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years progressive healthcare/biotech business experience; including 3 years field-based account management, sales, and field reimbursement.
- Successful biotech/pharma product launch experience.
- Rare/niche market experience with documented goal-exceeding performance.
- Bachelorβs degree or higher.
- Strong GI/hepatology relationships (strongly desired); pediatric experience welcomed.
- Preferred: competitive marketplace experience.
- Experience calling on hospitals, academic institutions, and clinics with interdisciplinary care teams.
- Track record researching/problem-solving complex HCP issues and mitigating barriers to patient access.
- Proven success through teamwork and execution; operate per regulations and company policy.
- High ethical/performance standards.
- ~60% travel (overnight as needed); some evenings/weekends for meetings/conferences/advocacy support.
