Responsibilities:
- Own business-related activities in geographic responsibility, including achievement of sales goals via executing brand strategies.
- Engage target physicians treating Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSD); educate HCPs to support early diagnosis and/or treatment.
- Conduct in-depth business planning to allocate appropriate disease-state and product education.
- Drive advanced customer engagement to build disease-state awareness across multidisciplinary specialties.
- Educate HCPs on LSD portfolio: signs/symptoms, differential diagnosis, and appropriate Takeda treatment options.
- Collaborate with LSD cross-functional team and internal business partners to coordinate efforts and maximize impact.
- Analyze and apply market data to identify business opportunities and priorities.
- Attend conferences/exhibits; plan and execute disease-state and product programs using an approved vendor.
- Partner with and motivate extended team members to improve performance and foster engagement/accountability.
- Integrate and prioritize approved US LSD sales leads and tactics to optimize customer engagement and account outcomes.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharma/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary internal/external teams.
- Strong marketplace acumen; consistent track record of success.
- Rare disease experience preferred; complex sales model experience required.
- Strategic territory management success; work within complex sales model.
- Biotech/biologics/specialty pharmacy experience helpful.
- Buy & bill selling/account management preferred.
- Understand payer access/reimbursement; experience managing complex reimbursement issues.

Key Skills:
- Experience in highly regulated marketplace.
- Strong questioning/exploratory ability in customer calls.
- Excel/CRM/data analysis; consultative selling; organization; analytical capabilities; group presentations; teamwork/collaboration.

Preferred:
- 5+ years pharmaceutical sales (preferably rare disease or sleep disorders).
- Coordinate with patient access/market access teams.
- Relevant clinical/industry experience; consultative needs-based selling.
- Experience in regulated marketplace; leverage digital tools/emerging technologies/AI-enabled processes.

Travel/Training:
- Live in territory; work evenings/weekends as needed; extensive travel ~50%; drive company vehicle/rental with authorization.
- Contingent on passing mandatory product training (written/oral). Training up to 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week; non-exempt during training (overtime per law). After exams, transition to exempt status.
