Patient Advocacy
Main Responsibilities:
- Patient Advocacy Collaborations: Lead development/oversight of local Patient Advocacy Group (PAG) partnerships aligned with global R&D strategy across therapeutic areas; ensure mutual benefit and positive customer experience.
- Clinical Trial Acceleration: Partner with Clinical Study Unit (CSU) colleagues to accelerate trials using Patient Experience Data (PED), optimized study design, and improved recruitment timelines.
- Data & Evidence Integration: Conduct patient data/Patient Disease Strategy (PDS) gap analysis; integrate local Real-World Evidence (RWE); ensure TVP/TPP/iEGP reflect local patient priorities.
- Digital & Innovation Leadership: Use digital tools/data within PAGs to drive efficiencies, accelerate deliverables, and identify patient-centric trial innovations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Public Affairs, Medical Affairs, HVT, COA, and Ethics & Business Integrity to align strategies, stay current on regulations, and deliver publications/webinars.
- Local Insights & Outcomes: Translate local patient insights into endpoint/outcomes measurement selection; serve as the main point of contact for meaningful country-specific data.
- Ecosystem Leadership: Lead evolving Integrated Patient Engagement (IPE) objectives and participate in initiatives (PFDD, IMI, TransCelerate, PALADIN).

Qualifications:
- PharmD or equivalent advanced degree in a related field.
- Patient-focused drug development experience (clinical operations a plus); minimum 2 years in patient centricity, public affairs, or advocacy (preferred).
- At least 2 years work/training experience in pharma industry.
- Deep knowledge of the North American healthcare system.

- Team leadership (collaboration, communication, training), proactive portfolio planning, critical thinking/problem solving, multi-tasking, change management.
- Proficiency with Office tools; public speaking; affinity for AI solutions.
- Ability to implement innovations requiring significant stakeholder influence/management.
- Ability to accommodate flexible working hours outside 9–5.
- Good knowledge of local pharmaceutical industry, patient advocacy, and healthcare systems.
