Role Overview
- Initiative-taking, creative scientist focused on next-generation in-vivo CAR-T cell therapy pipeline.
- Execute discovery pipeline projects with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, design, and optimize research exploring next generation cell therapies using in-vivo CAR-T.
- Create project plans by dissecting published literature to solve in-vivo cell therapy problems.
- Isolate immune cells from leukopak/blood of healthy donors or patients; evaluate in-vivo CAR virus using in-vitro assays and in-vivo mouse models.
- Conduct solid tumor research using cell culture, transfection, FACS, and cell-based functional assays.
- Package/titer engineered viruses; characterize particles (protein and PCR assays); measure transduction rate (flow and VCN).
- Generate, manage, evaluate, and maintain data (e.g., ELN).
- Deliver results on timeline via internal presentations to diverse audiences.
Requirements
- Recent PhD (within 5 years) in Immunology or related life sciences.
- 3β4 years cell and gene therapy experience (in-vivo CAR-T preferred).
- Advanced immune cell analytics/assay development (multi-parameter flow cytometry; cytotoxicity; cytokine release ELISA/MSD multiplex).
- Lentivirus characterization/quantification (VCN and flow-based assays).
- Ability to independently plan and execute research.
- Deep knowledge of immunology/immunotherapy; solid tumor model knowledge preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with solid tumor models and in-vivo cell-specific gene delivery.
- Proficiency in LVV/VLP/LNP gene delivery methods.
- Strong lentivirus production/titering/transduction; molecular/cellular biology for modified viral vectors.
