R&D Manager

Role: R&D Manager leading a global software development team within Agilent’s ACG R&D, focusing on cloud-based applications and digital services supporting laboratory operations. Responsibilities include managing team operations, staffing, project delivery, stakeholder collaboration across product management, architecture, quality, and support functions, and overseeing development of SaaS applications, data pipelines, integrations, and analytics. The role involves supporting both new product innovation and ongoing maintenance of enterprise lab software, with emphasis on operational excellence, risk mitigation, and technical evaluation in areas such as cloud-native architectures, APIs, cybersecurity, and data-centric systems. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field; minimum 2 years of technical or people leadership experience; proven ability to manage priorities and drive results in a distributed team environment. Preferred: Experience in life sciences, laboratory informatics, regulated enterprise systems, cloud SaaS platforms, data architecture, and AI/ML concepts.
