Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and optimize laboratory operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and continuity.
- Plan, schedule, and execute logistical lab operations; coordinate with EH&S, Managed Lab Services, Facilities Maintenance, and R&D Engineering.
- Schedule equipment technician visits and coordinate access to restricted lab spaces.
- Manage research lab equipment through its lifecycle: installation, induction, movement/modification, inactive/retirement, decontamination, and repair/calibration documentation.
- Maintain health of lab freezers, including seldom off-hours emergency response.
- Facilitate safety inspections and support general lab orderliness.
- Track and order compressed gases.
- Collaborate with scientists to resolve lab-related operational issues.
- Support building safety and dispersing deliveries.
Qualifications:
- College degree in Life Science or Chemistry (Associateโs degree with equivalent work experience considered).
- Two or more years of laboratory work experience preferred (college lab experience may be considered).
Essential Skills/Competencies:
- High proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, organizational, time-management skills, attention to detail; strong written and verbal skills.
- Self-starter; able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable handling chemicals and research materials.
- Able to lift 30 pounds and crouch/stand for long periods.
