Role Summary

R&D Automation Engineer to join the Development team of the Automation Core. Collaborate with Regeneron researchers to transform validated benchtop assays into functional automated high-throughput processes on integrated systems. Willing to work in a fast paced team-oriented environment to support therapeutic focus areas and core technology groups in Research & pre-clinical Development.

Responsibilities

  • Creating, modifying, and troubleshooting robotic methods on liquid handling devices (e.g., Hamilton STAR) and integrated systems (e.g., HighRes Biosolutions), plus supporting devices.
  • Conducting validation testing of developed protocols to ensure qualification for release into operations.
  • Transferring and revalidating established processes to other Automation Core systems.
  • Working with instrument vendors and internal system support to implement hardware/software upgrades and changes to existing platforms.
  • Providing hands-on training to team members on new equipment, methods, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Required: Minimum Bachelorโ€šร„รดs/Masterโ€šร„รดs in life science, engineering, computer science, or related field with 3โ€šร„รฌ5+ years of experience working with automation systems in a research laboratory environment.
  • Preferred: Wet lab experience and understanding of molecular biology, genomics, or cell-based assays.
  • Required: Experience in programming and operating liquid handling methods.
  • Preferred: Programming in Venus and developing and implementing methods utilizing Cellario.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of Python and C#, robotic integrations, and databases.
  • Beneficial: Familiarity with commonly integrated laboratory devices from Azenta, Agilent, Inheco, Revvity, etc.
