Position Summary
- The Quality Technician role supports the Simple Plex and Simple Western Consumables team in the Wallingford facility, assisting Quality Analysts and the QA team in an ISO-compliant environment. Provides support for QC/QA activities including hands-on evaluation of microfluidic cartridge products and simple western cartridges.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and follow quality protocols regarding:
- Quality Manual
- Record Keeping Guidelines
- Quality body of knowledge (inspection plans, sampling, etc.)
- Safety procedures
- Department-specific SOPs
- Inventory Maintenance
- Learn LIMS (Lab Information Management System)
- Perform product testing of commercial workorders
- Manufacture 10X Controls
Education and Experience (Qualifications)
- Bachelor of Science in a relevant field with 0β2 yearsβ experience
- OR non-science 4-year degree or associate degree with 2β4 yearsβ experience
- OR high school degree with 5+ years of laboratory work and/or biologics handling experience
- Good communication skills
- Experience in an ISO-compliant manufacturing environment (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Lab experience including pipetting
- Microsoft Office (Excel) knowledge
- Propose process improvements and flag areas for improvement
- Support deviation and out-of-specification investigations
- Perform lab work (prepare controls/reagents and run instruments)
- Increasing independence, flexibility across multiple tasks, and database understanding
- Other duties as assigned
