Role Summary

The Quality Control Associate, Lab Operations position plays an essential role in supporting daily laboratory operations within the Quality Control organization. This position ensures the QC labs are stocked, organized, safe, and compliant—directly enabling QC analysts and scientists to perform their testing activities efficiently. You will perform inventory management, material handling, equipment cleaning, documentation tasks, and general laboratory support.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain lab supplies, consumables, and materials to ensure readiness for daily QC operations
  • Track inventory levels, label materials, restock supplies, and organize storage areas
  • Support purchasing activities, including creating purchase requests, receiving deliveries, and coordinating material distribution
  • Maintain overall lab cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety and GMP practices
  • Clean, maintain, and prepare laboratory equipment and workspaces according to SOPs
  • Support proper waste disposal and safe handling of laboratory materials
  • Maintain documentation related to lab operations, equipment, and inventory
  • Follow all GMP, safety, quality, and lab procedures consistently
  • Perform general lab support tasks and assist QC personnel as needed

Qualifications

  • Required: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or related field
  • Required: 1 year of laboratory, operations, or lab support experience (academic or industry)
  • Required: Basic understanding of lab environments, safety, and general laboratory workflows
  • Required: Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Required: Ability to follow SOPs, instructions, and safety guidelines accurately
  • Required: Basic proficiency with common computer tools (Excel, Word; familiarity with inventory systems is a plus)
  • Required: Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Required: Comfort with hands-on, routine, physically active laboratory support tasks
  • Preferred: Previous experience in laboratory operations, facilities support, or a scientific environment
  • Preferred: Familiarity with inventory management or purchasing systems
  • Preferred: Experience supporting QC or scientific teams in a regulated or GMP environment
  • Preferred: Experience organizing lab spaces, scheduling resources, or supporting multiple teams
  • Preferred: Science-related Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree

  • Lifting or moving materials and supplies up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to work in laboratory, storage, and GMP-regulated environments
