Position Summary
You will provide high level scientific expertise to the Chromatography team for separation technologies (Normal and Reverse Phase Chromatography with detectors including QDa, PDA, RI, MALS, CAD; Gel Capillary electrophoresis, etc.), design/implement robust experiments, analyze data, document methods/results/conclusions, drive projects to closure, and ensure safe execution and GMP/regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
- Ensure lab compliance with EHS policies; support safety and internal/external audits.
- Serve as Lab Investigation/Change Control/CAPA Task Owner; lead implementation and ensure timely closure (Orange Belt certified).
- Process/evaluate complex chromatography data.
- Act as SME for chromatography methods (performance, acceptance criteria, troubleshooting, validation, compendial requirements).
- Backup SAP and LES Business Approver: define business requirements, review updates, approve system entries/changes; manage reagent supply chain and coordinate creation/qualification of new materials/reagents.
- Drive implementation of new/updated methods (transfers, corrective/continuous control, CAPA, compendial updates) with protocol adherence and documentation.
- Provide SAP/LES implementation/upgrades input (master data, test plans, workflows); serve as Empower SME.
- Troubleshoot equipment/assays; coordinate preventive maintenance and escalations.
- Lead training and maintain competency records; create/maintain training materials.
- Lead/maintain 5S practices.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry/biochemistry/analytical chemistry or related.
- 5+ years high-throughput laboratory testing.
- 5+ years GMP/FDA regulated environment.
- 5+ years QC chromatography lab experience (preferably with Empower).

Preferred Qualifications
- MS; knowledge of GMP/NIH/FDA and regulatory requirements.
- Astra software familiarity (MALS analysis).
- Urgency, flexibility, accountability; strong chromatography expertise.
- Strong data analysis/trending; detail-oriented in complex matrices.
- Intermediate/advanced computer skills; strong customer service.
- Stay current with field/GSK standards; strong communication and analytical method understanding.
