Role Summary

The Purchasing Coordinator is an integral part of our Manufacturing team based out of our US - Chicago Heights, IL site. Performs all administrative, clerical and secretarial duties necessary for the Purchasing Department.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accounts payable for the department, including the daily review of all invoices and accounts. Work with Purchasing and Accounting to promptly resolve issues as they arise.
  • Perform administrative functions for Purchasing, Maintenance, and Capital Projects. Prepare correspondence, required reports, and compliance/regulatory filings.
  • Maintains files and records as required.
  • Provides back-up support to Inventory Coordinator as needed.
  • Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in dealing with plant information and exercising tact and diplomacy.
  • Works with vendors as required and implements them into the necessary systems.
  • Management of POs.
  • Maintain various systems used for purchasing and maintenance.
  • PM set up and changes.
  • Accruals.
  • There may be additional duties and /or responsibilities garnered at the discretion of plant needs.

Qualifications

  • Required: High School diploma or GED; minimum of one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred: college coursework.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with ERP and Accounting Systems
  • Solid organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Education

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; college coursework preferred.
