Role Summary
The Purchasing Coordinator is an integral part of our Manufacturing team based out of our US - Chicago Heights, IL site. Performs all administrative, clerical and secretarial duties necessary for the Purchasing Department.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for accounts payable for the department, including the daily review of all invoices and accounts. Work with Purchasing and Accounting to promptly resolve issues as they arise.
- Perform administrative functions for Purchasing, Maintenance, and Capital Projects. Prepare correspondence, required reports, and compliance/regulatory filings.
- Maintains files and records as required.
- Provides back-up support to Inventory Coordinator as needed.
- Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in dealing with plant information and exercising tact and diplomacy.
- Works with vendors as required and implements them into the necessary systems.
- Management of POs.
- Maintain various systems used for purchasing and maintenance.
- PM set up and changes.
- Accruals.
- There may be additional duties and /or responsibilities garnered at the discretion of plant needs.
Qualifications
- Required: High School diploma or GED; minimum of one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Preferred: college coursework.
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proficiency with ERP and Accounting Systems
- Solid organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
Education
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; college coursework preferred.
