Role Summary
Psychiatry Account Specialist for Bronx, Yonkers, & Harrison, NY. Responsible for promoting Neurocrine products within a geographic territory, building long-term relationships with physicians and other customers, and educating external customers about product benefits.
Responsibilities
- Create product acceptance and manage sales growth through education opportunities in targeted accounts
- Execute sales force strategies and marketing plans to meet or exceed sales objectives via in-office visits, in-service presentations, and speaker programs
- Develop strategies to penetrate and segment the psychiatric and movement disorder marketplace (psychiatrists, neurologists, CMHCs, LTC)
- Utilize promotional resources and budget effectively
- Maintain strong communication with cross-functional partners (managed care, MSLs, medical communications)
- Uphold high ethical standards and comply with FDA guidelines and industry best practices
- Build relationships with all members of the patients' care team (Pharm D, MD/NP/PA, LPN/RN) and with key opinion leaders, professional groups, advocacy groups, payers, and pharmacies
- Identify territory opportunities and barriers; develop local Opinion Leader relationships
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Required/Preferred: BS/BA in science or related field with 4+ years of commercial pharma/biotech or related experience (3+ years in specialty pharma or LTC, psychology, or neurology sales highly desired); or Masterโs degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong sales and account management disposition, business acumen, and excellent communication skills
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives; successful launches in complex environments
- Understanding of healthcare regulatory environment; entrepreneurial attitude or startup experience
- Working knowledge of salesforce automation and BI tools (e.g., Salesforce.com, Oracle, SAP, QlikView, Veeva, etc.)
- Must reside within geographic area of the assigned territory
- Ability to drive frequently; valid driverโs license and clean driving record required
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and project management skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally and lead teams as needed
