Role Summary
Program Manager at Lilly. Lead and manage large capital asset programs, providing safe, cost-effective, timely delivery of critical assets from front-end planning to operational verification. Travel and relocation may be required to project sites; role emphasizes coordination across Lilly and non-Lilly professionals to deliver asset capability and capacity with adherence to safety, quality, and schedule.
Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead and manage teams to deliver large programs of at least $500MM USD or more in capital assets that are highly business-critical in nature, from conceptual design through operational qualification.
- Interface/Communication: Lead from regional distance while maintaining effective communication with GFD leadership, project teams, governance, partners, and stakeholders; facilitate issue resolution and ensure safe, quality, and value-driven project work.
- Compliance: Apply disciplined, structured project management aligned with Company Policies and Procedures.
- Safety/Environment: Develop and maintain safety and environmental execution plans; ensure compliance for project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors from design to verification.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a technical related field (e.g., project management, construction management).
- Required: 10+ years' experience in capital project delivery in industrial/manufacturing facilities, preferably leading projects >$100MM.
- Required: Experience managing greenfield projects.
- Required: Willingness to relocate and/or travel internationally or domestically.
- Preferred: Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience; certifications such as PE or PMP; experience in GMP, LEAN, automation, scheduling; ability to work remotely with limited supervision; multilingual capabilities.
