Role Summary
As a Zoetis Professional Services Veterinarian, you will lead the widespread adoption of higher standards of care, compassion, and health within the veterinary profession. Location: Northern Alabama and Mississippi. Travel: 40-60% with occasional weekend work. Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to Northern Alabama or Mississippi.
Responsibilities
- Educate and influence veterinarians and hospital healthcare teams by giving presentations, facilitating roundtable discussions on the latest up-to-date information on small animal diseases, Zoetis products / services, medical advancements, practice management topics
- Be the "voice of the veterinarian" when advising on strategies and educating internal teams (sales and marketing).
- Be a coach, a trainer, and a leader: ability to flex your style and communication to the needs of your Area sales team, colleagues, and peers.
- Partner with the Area Business Manager to develop and successfully achieve the Area's business strategy and objectives.
- Provide medical support to strategic partners, to include independent, corporate and specialty hospitals
- Become a valued advisor to veterinary customers, your Area sales team, peers and colleagues.
- Be a credible and ethical advocate for the Veterinary Industry, the Zoetis Petcare Business and the Zoetis Brand.
- Maintain a commitment to personal and professional growth to enhance your relevance, impact and engagement.
Education
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent degree
Qualifications
- Required: Current and active veterinary license, in good standing
- Required: A valid US driver's license
- Required: 5+ years of experience as a veterinarian in companion animal general clinical practice
- Required: Curiosity, positivity, and a growth mindset
- Required: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
