Purpose
The Production Technician I executes manufacturing processes in formulation, encapsulation, and primary/secondary packaging with oversight. Sets up equipment for routine processes, identifies and resolves performance-related equipment issues in a timely manner while adhering to GMP guidelines and procedures to meet/exceed target OEE, maintains operating conditions, communicates operational events/issues, and identifies opportunities for improvement in operations and written documents.
Responsibilities
- Perform Team Member responsibilities; follow GMP policies and comply with quality and safety standards.
- Work on the line to execute scheduling priorities, daily assignments, and production expectations; operate multiple unit operations; monitor the manufacturing process and communicate issues.
- Set up, run, blow, clean, and clear equipment per BOP/Master batch record.
- Perform minor troubleshooting/repairs; complete accurate in-process quality checks.
- Train colleagues on equipment/process where qualified.
- Demonstrate good attendance, teamwork, respectful communication, and positive attitude.
- Follow Environmental Health and Safety procedures and participate in safety initiatives.
- Complete batch record steps following ALCOA and GMP; maintain audit-ready production area and adhere to regulations/company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical certificate/degree preferred.
- 2β3 years cGMP manufacturing experience preferred/required (food, chemical, petrochemical, consumer products).
- Strong technical aptitude; troubleshoot and communicate issues to operations engineer/mechanical teams.
- Basic computer skills; ability to learn new programs.
- Understanding of quality/compliance; HMI controls, vision inspection systems, product serialization.
- Ability to train fellow technicians preferred.
- Experience with POMs, SAP, and MAXIMO.
- Ability to stand 8β12 hours/day and lift up to 25 pounds.
