Operations
Purpose
- Execute manufacturing processes in formulation, encapsulation, primary and secondary packaging with oversight. Set up equipment for routine processes; resolve performance-related equipment issues in line with GMP to meet/exceed target OEE. Maintain operating conditions, communicate operational events/issues, and support continuous improvement in physical operations and written documents.
Responsibilities
- Comply with local/industry quality and safety standards; follow GMP policies.
- Work on the line executing scheduling priorities and production expectations; operate multiple unit operations; monitor process and communicate issues.
- Set up, run, blow, clean, and clear equipment per BOP/master batch record.
- Perform minor troubleshooting/repairs; complete in-process quality checks.
- Train colleagues on equipment/process where qualified.
- Demonstrate AbbVie behaviors (attendance, teamwork, respectful communication, positive attitude).
- Follow Environmental Health and Safety procedures and participate in safety initiatives.
- Complete batch record steps (ALCOA/GMP); maintain audit-ready areas and adhere to regulations/policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate/degree preferred.
- Previous general manufacturing experience required; preferably 2–3 years cGMP manufacturing.
- Strong technical aptitude; troubleshoot and communicate with operations engineering/mechanical teams.
- Basic computer skills; ability to learn new programs.
- Understanding of quality/compliance; HMI controls, vision inspection systems, and product serialization.
- Preferred: ability to train technicians; experience with POMs, SAP, MAXIMO.
- Physical: stand 8–12 hours/day; lift up to 25 lbs.
