Purpose
The Production Technician I executes manufacturing processes in formulation, encapsulation, primary and secondary packaging with oversight by Supervision.
Responsibilities
- Proficient in Team Member responsibilities; knowledgeable of basic jobs in assigned area and GMP policies; comply with local and industry quality and safety standards.
- Work directly on the line executing scheduling priorities, daily assignments, and production expectations; operate multiple unit operations; monitor the process and communicate issues.
- Set up, run, blow, clean, and clear equipment according to the BOP/Master batch record.
- Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs; complete in-process quality checks.
- Train colleagues on equipment and process for which qualified trainer.
- Follow Environmental Health and Safety procedures and participate in safety initiatives.
- Complete batch record steps following ALCOA and GMP; maintain audit-ready production area and adhere to regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical certificate or degree preferred; previous general manufacturing experience required.
- Preferably 2β3 years cGMP manufacturing (food, chemical, petrochemical, consumer products).
- Strong technical aptitude; troubleshoot and communicate issues to operations engineer/mechanical teams.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding of quality importance and site policies/procedures.
- Understanding of HMI controls, vision inspection systems, and product serialization systems.
- Ability to train fellow technicians preferred.
- Experience with POMs, SAP, and MAXIMO.
- Standing 8β12 hours/day; lifting up to 25 pounds.
