Job Description:
The Production Technician I executes manufacturing processes in formulation, encapsulation, primary and secondary packaging with oversight by Supervision. Sets up equipment for routine processes. Identify and resolve performance related equipment issues in a timely and efficient manner while adhering to GMP guidelines to meet or exceed target OEE. Execute assigned jobs and maintains operating conditions within the desired range. Communicates all operational events and issues with appropriate individuals. Identifies opportunities for improvement throughout operations and assists in implementing changes in physical operations and written documents. Displays AbbVie behaviors.
Responsibilities:
- Proficient in Team Member responsibilities; knowledgeable of basic jobs in assigned area and GMP policies; complies with quality and safety standards.
- Work directly on the line executing scheduling priorities, daily assignments, and production expectations; operate multiple unit operations; monitor manufacturing process and communicate issues.
- Set up, run, blow, clean, and clear equipment per BOP/Master batch record.
- Perform minor troubleshooting and repairs; complete accurate in-process quality checks.
- Train colleagues on equipment and process for which qualified.
- Demonstrate AbbVie behaviors (good attendance, teamwork, respectful communications, positive attitude).
- Follow Environmental Health and Safety procedures and participate in safety initiatives.
- Complete batch record steps following ALCOA and GMP; maintain audit-ready production area and adhere to regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical certificate or degree preferred.
- 2β3 years general manufacturing experience required, preferably cGMP manufacturing.
- Strong technical aptitude; troubleshoot and communicate issues to operations engineer/mechanical teams.
- Basic computer skills; ability to learn new programs.
- Understanding of quality and compliance; HMI controls, vision inspection, and product serialization systems.
- Ability to train fellow technicians preferred.
- Experience with POMs, SAP, and MAXIMO.
- Stand 8β12 hours/day; lift up to 25 pounds.
