Summary:
- Performs tasks of an Advanced Planner in a Biotech / Reagents Manufacturing environment. Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage special requirements for OEM customers and branded products (limited to moderate complexity).
- Independently make decisions on routine/moderate complexity customer or branded product orders.
- Develop schedules based on the master production plan using planning principles.
- Maintain ISO/cGMP requirements in the ERP system.
- Communicate schedules, plans, and expectations to relevant stakeholders.
- Perform rough cut capacity planning with manufacturing/production.
- Troubleshoot issues of moderate complexity independently.
- Review purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders.
- Prepare reports/presentations to communicate planning and strategic information.
- Create/update item masters, product structures, and routers.
- Support cost management via lot size, build frequency, and standard costs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- ERP knowledge (preferably QAD/Macola ES).
- Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing or Reagents.
- Smartsheet, Excel, and MS Office.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma principles.
- APICS or equivalent certification preferred.
- Supply chain understanding; flexibility, attention to detail, accuracy.
- Effective communication/presentation; ability to work independently and in a team.
- Ability to work on-site.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Associateโs degree + 4 years Planner experience, OR Bachelorโs degree in business/Supply Chain Mgmt + 2 years, OR 5 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Manufacturing/production planning experience; APICS preferred but not required.
- Life sciences manufacturing background a plus.
