Position Overview
Help bring new medicines closer to the patients who need them. Operate equipment and processes in the K360 clinical trial pilot plant; work with scientists, engineers, and quality partners.
Responsibilities
K360 runs four operational areas (train in one; cross-train as you grow):
- Makeup: Prepare buffers/media, run in-process testing, fill process containers, clean equipment via CIP and cabinet washers.
- Inoculation Lab: Develop inoculum, run bioburden testing, submit samples for third-party evaluation.
- Cell Culture / Primary Recovery: Transfer inoculum to bioreactors/fermenters, monitor/feed/harvest, maintain equipment via CIP/SIP.
- Purification: Receive buffers and purify harvested material (chromatography, viral filtration, TFF), then fill final API into storage containers.
Across all areas: operate/monitor equipment, troubleshoot, reduce variability; maintain accurate records and follow cGMP documentation; communicate clearly with cross-functional teams; follow safety/environmental guidelines.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; at least 1 year of reliable attendance/work motivation.
- No prior manufacturing experience required; demonstrate work ethic, communication, teamwork, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions, communicate, collaborate, and maintain a positive, dependable attitude in a fast-paced setting.
- Dedication to tasks; working knowledge of basic computer/software.
- Safety glasses/shoes and appropriate gowning (incl. Tyvek) required in production areas.
- Flexibility for varying shifts; occasional nights/weekends; overtime as needed.
Additional Preferences
- Manufacturing operations experience.
- Coaching/feedback/training experience; open, honest communication.
- Basic analytical/problem-solving skills.
- AI/machine learning experience (asset).
