Role Summary
Production Associate I - Cell Culture (Sunday-Thursday) performs manufacturing of HEP & HDF cells in a level 10,000 clean room under supervision, including spinner preparation, seeding, maintaining, and harvesting cells, and assists in cell banking as required.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture cells according to established MBRs and OPs
- Adhere to all OPs, protocols, regulatory requirements, GMP, and safety guidelines
- Ensure cell culture paperwork is complete and compliant with all protocols
- Operate clean room equipment properly
- Maintain records and follow QC, GMP, and safety guidelines
- Assist in developing, collecting, trending, and analyzing cell culture technical data
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s in Biology or related science strongly preferred. Certificate or A.S. in Biotechnology with 3–5 years of relevant experience considered
- Direct experience with cell banking, cell culture, and/or fermentation preferred
- Experience with aseptic technique, cGMP, and clean room protocols desired
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Aseptic technique, basic lab techniques (pipettes, balances, etc.)
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods; ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and assess work accuracy and thoroughness

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Biology or related science preferred
- Certificate or A.S. in Biotechnology with relevant experience may be considered

- Medium work with potential to move objects up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment for extended periods
