Production Associate I - Cell Culture (Sunday-Thursday)

Role Summary

Production Associate I - Cell Culture is an entry-level manufacturing role. You will produce HEP & HDF cells under direct supervision in a level 10,000 clean room environment, performing tasks such as spinner preparation, seeding, maintaining, and harvesting cells, and assisting with the cell banking process as needed. Hours are Sunday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with some holidays required.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture cells according to established MBRs and OPs
• Adhere to all OPs, protocols, policies, regulatory requirements, GMP, and safety guidelines
• Ensure cell culture paperwork is complete and compliant with all protocols
• Operate clean room equipment properly
• Maintain required records and adhere to QC procedures, GMPs, and safety guidelines
• Assist in developing, collecting, trending, and analyzing cell culture technical data

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Strongly preferred: Bachelor's degree in Biology or related science. A Certificate or A.S. in Biotechnology with 3‚Äì5 years' relevant experience will also be considered
• Preferred: Direct experience with cell banking, cell culture, and/or fermentation
• Preferred: Prior experience with aseptic technique, cGMP, and clean room protocols
• Required: Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Required: Aseptic technique and basic lab techniques (pipettes, balances, etc.)
• Required: Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods
• Required: Effective communication to exchange information
• Required: Repetitive motions that may involve wrists, hands, and fingers
• Required: Ability to assess accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor‚Äôs degree in Biology or a related science preferred. Certificate or A.S. in Biotechnology with 3‚Äì5 years of relevant experience considered

Physical Demands

• Medium work involving moving objects up to 50 lbs

Environmental Conditions

• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment for extended periods
