Role Summary

Product Manager responsible for managing the full product lifecycle across a wide portfolio of Antibody product linesโ€šร„รฎfrom strategies and development through commercialization and post-launch support. Partners with R&D, Product Marketing, Sales, and other stakeholders to ensure products meet customer needs and financial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full product lifecycle including strategy, pricing, positioning, promotion, and value proposition.
  • Establish in-depth knowledge of the assigned portfolio to support internal stakeholders and external customers.
  • Execute on portfolio strategy and manage pre-launch market development and new product commercial launches.
  • Advising, interpreting, and applying market research projects and outputs.
  • Pricing Process: includes price setting, working with sales and product managers to set discount schedules, managing pricing updates, managing pricing across all channels globally, and price positioning analysis.
  • Project management: leading execution of new and/or existing business priorities to ensure thorough completion and that timelines are met. Applicable teams include all teams internal or external that impact a product within the business unitโ€šร„รดs portfolio.
  • Collateral Review: Gather, analyze, and represent the voice of customer to internal development teams including Product Management, Product Marketing, or and/or Commercial sales leadership to help develop and review any forms of collateral based on business needs.
  • Sales communication: Collaborate with sales team to develop and refine product strategy ensuring alignment with market demands and business objects. This includes leading product trainings and presenting product positioning.
  • Market & Data Analysis: Leading the maintenance or creation of market analysis and other internal or external data analyses. Includes items such as competitor profiling, internal or external pricing, market and competitive positioning, benchmarking, competitive marketing activities/strategy, revenue, and customer profiles.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant QA, regulatory, and legal requirements in the clinical diagnostics/medical devices field.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience:
    • BS in a Biological Science field required, advanced degree preferred
    • Financial acumen desired, MBA preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the biotech or life sciences industry or academia, marketing, sales, product management, or a related field

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Strong scientific and business acumen.
  • Basic, functional knowledge about the product(s) and their uses, competitor(s) and their product(s), and the marketplace, as well as the ability to gain in-depth knowledge
  • Strong aptitude in product/customer/sales analysis which will lead to defining successful strategies and launching outstanding products
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to influence without authority in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Independently manage and resolve difficult internal and external customer issues
  • Collaborate and represent the product management function across departments and projects.
  • Assemble and lead cross-functional teams to address complex problems in a matrixed environment.
  • Take ownership of initiatives and drive them to completion with urgency and accountability.
  • Proficient in the use of computer applications and software that allow for analysis and presentation of data as well as productivity (i.e. Microsoft Office, Salesforce.com), as well as ability to become proficient in proprietary databases and ERP solutions
