Responsibilities:
This role is responsible for the safe operation of highly automated equipment used to fill syringes. Models current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ensures compliance with safety standards. Learns formulation operation initially, then transitions into an operator role in Filling or Material Prep depending on departmental needs.
Key Objectives:
- Adhere to RTP Plant safety policies/procedures and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Follow standard operating procedures and cGMP to ensure product quality.
- Support leadership on the manufacturing floor by maintaining high safety, quality, and productivity; monitor documentation/product quality; document activities and report issues.
- Support leadership during troubleshooting; be a reliable escalation point on the shop floor.
- Assist Supervisor with development and training of shift operators.
- Drive departmental objectives: improve safety performance, reduce deviations, improve productivity, and ensure training compliance.
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work night shift on a rotational schedule (2-2-3).
- Ability to work overtime.
- Wear safety equipment (e.g., safety glasses/shoes, protective gloves).
- Work in a restricted environment (classified clean room space) for extended periods.
- Learn quickly and apply new knowledge per governing procedures.
- Effective written/verbal communication; flexibility and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills (desktop software) required.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Scientific/technical degrees or certifications.
- Knowledge of cGMP.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release.
- Experience with solution filling equipment and/or isolator technology.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Anticipated wage: $17.30β$34.38.
