Process Development Senior Scientist

Role: Process Development Senior Scientist within Amgen’s Drug Substance Technologies - Synthetics group, focusing on inventing and developing synthetic and hybrid drug substance manufacturing processes. Responsibilities: design robust, cost-effective synthetic routes; advance enabling technologies to improve process efficiency and sustainability; support cGMP manufacturing, technology transfer, and regulatory documentation; contribute to process understanding through modeling and characterization; collaborate cross-functionally with chemists, engineers, and attribute scientists. Requirements: PhD in organic chemistry (expected by August 2026), or Master’s with 3+ years, or Bachelor’s with 5+ years of scientific experience; strong background in organic synthesis, process development, and cGMP environments; excellent communication and project management skills.
