Process Development Associate
What You Will Do
- Contribute to Drug Substance Process Development for late stage clinical and commercial biologics programs, including development, characterization, and scale-up of upstream/downstream manufacturing processes supporting Ph II/III trials to marketing application.
- Design and perform bench-scale experiments spanning end-to-end Drug Substance process (cell culture to purification).
- Apply platform approaches to rapidly solve day-to-day experimental challenges; contribute to technology development.
- Contribute to goals such as improving process yield/robustness and scaling-up processes to manufacturing sites.
- Perform small-scale bioprocess experiments covering upstream (cell culture) and downstream (purification).
- Cell culture: maintain cultures in shake flasks, culture bags, and benchtop bioreactors.
- Purification: protein chromatography, filtration, UF/DF operations.
- Automation programming for benchtop bioreactors, chromatography systems, and robotic liquid handling.
- Experimental design and data interpretation; communicate findings via presentations and technical/GMP documentation.
- Provide scientific technical support for technology transfer to manufacturing sites.
