Key Duties And Responsibilities:
- Develop robust, cost-effective cell culture media for commercial scale manufacturing.
- Define and implement technical roadmaps for media development and optimization aligned to business priorities.
- Troubleshoot complex raw material sourcing/control challenges with strong GMP, regulatory, and quality knowledge.
- Develop/optimize high-throughput, small-scale media screening toolboxes.
- Use emerging analytical tools/omics to drive hypothesis-guided media optimization.
- Generate/review technical reports, regulatory filings, source documents, patents, and publications.
- Support media preparation protocol transfer and GMP manufacturing tech transfer.
- Partner with internal/external stakeholders; manage relationships for alignment and execution.
- Potentially manage/mentor junior employees; lead hands-on lab work.
Knowledge And Skills:
- Strong cell culture metabolism/biological pathway knowledge; extensive medium development experience (stem cell culture preferred).
- Extensive cell culture process development, perfusion development, and bioreactors across scales; high-throughput/automated platforms highly preferred.
- Extensive raw material control/sourcing knowledge.
- Statistical principles and DOE.
- Working knowledge of cGMP.
- Excellent communication, organization, attention to detail; ability to multitask and adapt.
Education And Experience:
- Degree in relevant engineering/science.
- PhD (2–5 yrs) or MS (6–9 yrs) or BS (8–11 yrs) relevant industry experience.
Other:
- Weekend work rotation with broader team required.
Pay Range:
- $123,200–$184,800; eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards.
