Role: Associate Director, Privacy Counsel responsible for US and global privacy compliance within Gilead's Office of Ethics and Compliance. Objectives: advise on privacy laws, manage privacy risks, and support responsible data use across business functions. Responsibilities: serve as primary privacy advisor for US operations; handle privacy inquiries, conduct risk assessments, and develop privacy guidance, templates, and training; support HIPAA and health data privacy matters; collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, Security, and Legal. Requirements: JD with minimum 4 years of privacy experience, U.S. bar admission, strong understanding of U.S. and global privacy regulations, proficiency with privacy management platforms, and experience advising in healthcare or digital sectors; IAPP or CIPP certification preferred.
